I know its been that long because it was the day before I started a new job that sucked the fun out of life but we were final able to get away for a few days last weekend to MOAB!!!
I work the night shift on Saturday and came home at 7 am. Larry and Abbey let me sleep til about 9 am. We were on our way about 11 am. I didn't sleep at all on the way down (good thing since I drove most of the way).
We went to Arches and did the primitive trail around the Windows, Abbey called it the Trail of Doom. There was about 1-2 feet of snow but the trail had been well packed. Abbey did really well with only a little complaining. At one point the trail goes up the mountain and it was really slick, Abbey couldn't get up it. So Larry went up and let her climb up him. she called him "Daddy Mountain" the rest of the day. As always when you go up, you have to go back down, which was also really slick. Abbey and I kept falling. I put her on my lap and we slid down about 25 feet, It was so fun! Just what we needed.
