My feet are unhappy

Five years ago I got a pair of Chacos.
These have been the most amazing pair of sandals.
I have worn them every where, in every type of weather and to many types of occasions.
This week I noticed that the heel riser are ripping away from the sole of the shoe.
I sent them away to get fixed and even though I have a closet full of shoes, I just can't find the right ones to wear. Maybe because they are in a box going to Michigan.
