Part I of the long story....

*this is my disclaimer*
there are amazing people out there who are non religious, skeptics, nonbelievers, agnostic or atheist. They do good works, are kind souls, don't kick puppies and go to movies on Sunday.

BUT

This blog is about me and my family. The things we are going through, the things we believe, our opinions (well mostly mine), the things we are learning and the fun we try to have...

The Start of the Story:

As long as I have known him, my husband has never been a religious man.He has had some stints try to be all buttoned down and religious and has actually been quite involved with the LDS church from time to time. He has always had his spiritual side but has said on many occasion that he does not believe in an organized religion.  I am/was fine with this because I didn't have to get up and dressed on Sunday mornings, there is/was always something that I wanted to do on Sundays, blah, blah, blah. If I was honest... I just don't really know what I believe and it have been easier to just not deal with it.

this is from my point of view, my reactions and I am trying not to share too much of Larry's story ( it is his story to share or not)

SO on with the story, due to Larry working at the park, he has gotten involved with pioneer history and with my schedule it works out that every few weeks I have a week off. Yeah! We were going to go to Martins Cove in Wyoming for the week.  But somehow it worked out that Larry went up a week early.  He was supposed to be gone 3 days but came back within 24 hours.
Always either really good or really bad!
He said it was really good.
It was late so we waited til the next day we talked...  At lunch he said" I am going to church tomorrow and want to get the priesthood back in the house Etc. Etc.Etc."
The only thing I could say is your freaking me out! (over and over and over for many weeks. I think it came put my mouth again last week too.) He had some experiences on the trip and well, there has been a BIG change.  His change has brought me to have for face my beliefs.
(stupid boys always messing up stuff)

There have been lots of discussions, reading and pondering going on in our house lately. I'll try and keep you posted on any updates.

Joylyn, you know all us "girls" love you to pieces. Just.the.way.you.are. That being said, I think that this will be a very interesting and insightful journey for your family. Anything that makes you "grow" in any way (spiritual, physical, emotional) is a good thing, which you already knew. However, I must add that you know my secret hopes for your family, for your forever family. I love you Joylyn, enjoy the journey, where ever it leads you.
